Diana Gibb, PhD

Welcome! I hope you will find the following information about my experience, credentials and counseling approach helpful. Please call me at 703-281-9313, ext. 8, should you have any questions or need further information. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 30 years experience in the counseling field. I have worked in a variety of settings—schools, universities, government, and non-profits agencies—helping people with a wide range of mental health issues. This includes working with men and women of all ages and older teenagers, individually or as couples and families, who are coping with depression, anxiety, low-self-esteem, or decisionmaking difficulty, or concerns about relationships, communication, parenting, life transitions, careers or education.
I use psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and solution-oriented brief therapy to help my clients. I am certified in EMDR Therapy and am a Master Career Counselor and qualified user of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and Strong Interest Inventory. I belong to numerous professional organizations, including the American Counseling Association, and strictly adhere to the ethical guidelines of those organizations.
I look forward to working with you!
